About the Job
We are looking for an APRN who will collaborate with physicians in managing the medical needs of our patients.
Qualifications:
- Must have a current Florida license or be eligible to obtain a Florida license.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and possess strong computer skills.
- BLS and/or ACLS required.
- Full Time: Monday-Thursday; 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Friday 7:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
- Prior Pain Management experience is preferred but not required.
- Possession of a State of Florida ARNP/ PA license.
- Proficiency in eClinicalWorks is preferred, but not required.
The PA/APRN also may perform the following tasks in an authorized setting:
- Obtaining patient history.
- Performing physical examinations.
- Ordering and performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Overseeing the treatment plan.
- Monitoring the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.
- Offering counseling and education to meet patient needs.
- Making appropriate referrals, Imaging, Orthopedic, neurosurgery, etc.
- Prescribing and dispensing prescription medication in accordance with FL state laws and department policies
- Performing minor procedures and surgical procedures.
- Demonstrates ability to assess data reflective of patient's status and appropriately interprets information relative to patient's age-specific needs.
- Assist with ongoing departmental process improvement and policy development.
